Wickliffe pounds VASJ on senior night 6-0 
Saturday On Thursday night the 11-2-1 Wickliffe Blue Devils Boys Soccer team hosted the VASJ Vikings on Senior Night at Wickliffe Memorial. The game was a complete domination by the Blue Devils as the shut out the Vikings 6-0.
The Wickliffe defense was strong as usual rarely allowing the Vikings to get the ball passed midfield. VASJ did not have one shot on goal in the first half and only one in the entire game and it was an easy save for Junior Goalkeeper JT Brenneman.
Meanwhile the offense had a nice night led by Junior Nick Colbert who scored the first goal of the night at the 31:56 mark of the first half, it was all the Blue Devils needed. Colbert ended the night with two goals as he put another shot into the back of the net with 25:40 left on the clock in the second half.

It was senior night and only appropriate that senior’s Joe Gamiere and Brady Wilson also tallied goals. The third senior Riley Pugh, led the stellar defensive effort for the Blue Devils.

Junior’s Nick Telisman and Jonny Abramczyk also put the ball in the net for the Blue Devils.

Wickliffe will finish the regular season Saturday at Oberlin High School against the Phoenix at 11:00 a.m.
