The Cleveland Indians defeated the Detroit Tigers 7-4 Sunday afternoon from Comerica park in Detroit, Michigan. With the win the Indians took 3 of the 4 games in the series. It was also the series finale between the two clubs the Indians took the season series winning 7 of the 10 games between the clubs.

Cleveland's offense had a big day and it started in the 5th inning. Carlos Santana singled to start it, followed by a Franmil Reyes walk, and then Jordan Luplow got an RBI single. Later that inning Delino DeShields had a two run single to make it 3-0 Indians. Cesar Hernandez doubled to start the sixth inning followed by a two run home run for Jose Ramirez his 14th of the season. Jose once again homered in the 7th another two run home run. This was Ramirez's 4th multi- home run game of the year which leads Major League Baseball.

Carlos Carrasco pitched seven innings before Cam Hill came into the game for the Indians to pitch the eighth inning and he struggled. Hill was able to retire the first 2 of 3 batters he faced. Before allowing an RBI single to Willi Castro, and then a two run home run to former triple crown winner Miguel Cabrera which made it a 7-3 game. Brad Hand would come in and pitch the ninth for the Indians. He gave up a lead off single to Jorge Bonifacio and then a double to Niko Goodrum which scored Bonifacio to make it a 7-4 game. Brad Hand rebounded after that and finished the Tigers off with no further issues.

Indians starter Carlos Carrasco was terrific Sunday afternoon, he went seven innings, allowing just one hit, while walking three and striking out eleven.

Up next for Cleveland is game one of a four game set with the Chicago White Sox from Progressive Field in Cleveland, Ohio. First pitch Monday evening is scheduled for 6:10pm. It is a big series as of now these two clubs would meet in the first round of the playoffs. Chicago has already clinched a playoff spot.
